Volunteer Opportunities
At The Church at Loveland we believe that ministry is using whatever God has given us to serve Him and the needs of others. We minister for the Lord in two directions, to believers and to non-believers.
Your S.H.A.P.E. is one-of-a-kind. It’s a combination of your Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personalities and Experiences.
Spiritual Gift: God gave you a special ability called a Spiritual Gift when you begin following Him.
He gave you this gift to help build up your church family and reach out to the world with Christ’s Love.
Heart: God gave you a unique passion for particular activities, subjects, and circumstances.
He gave you a Heart for the things you feel deeply about to help define how and where he wants you to serve Him.
Abilities: You have Abilities, given to you before you knew Christ, that God can use in specific ways to assist you in your ministry.
Personality: God needs a Personality in ministry that’s exactly like yours!
He wants to use you whether you’re an extrovert or an introvert; whether you enjoy routine or variety.
Experiences: God has placed a multitude of Experiences in your life to help mold you for ministry. He can use the experiences in your background to help heal the hurts of others in your church and your community.
Volunteering is also a great way to get involved and meet others. We have several serving opportunities for you to be a part of. These service areas range from working behind-the-scenes (cleaning) to up front areas such as greeters and ushers.
If you need help figuring out your Spiritual Gifts, etc. we also offer a Discover your Direction class.
Areas to Volunteer in:
- greeters
- facility
- grounds
- custodial
Ushers – Much like the title suggests, you will usher people to their seats. We want to ensure there will be plenty of room for our guests to feel comfortable when they are choosing a seat. You are also responsible for collecting the prayer request cards at the end of each service.
Set Up – Set up and take down chairs as needed, get rooms set up for any event. This is a fairly easy job, until the event team calls you and lets you know there is a wedding rehearsal on Friday night, a wedding Saturday afternoon, with reception following, and church Sunday morning. This will happen sooner or later.
Wedding and Funeral Ministry
Assist the wedding and funeral coordinator (set-up, take-down and serving food) to ensure that these special days go smoothly for the families. Short notice may be needed for some events.
Yard Maintenance – Help is needed with the upkeep of the grass, flower beds, and shrubs around the church property during the warm months.
Facility’s Maintenance - Help to present a clean, well maintained facility that is inviting to guests, demonstrates a caring attitude, and is a pleasant place to worship.
